Librettos

Although I’ve gotten proficient enough with French that I can enjoy a grand opera or two without assistance, with any other language I’ll need a libretto.

Unfortunately, existing librettos can be spotty. They’re either monolingual, or abridged, or outdated, or sometimes flat out incorrect (often, machine translated). And of course, they never come in a consistent formatting, which you know drives me bonkers.

I hope to put together a set of consistent, well-formatted, and possibly text-critical bilingual librettos. Check back, or subscribe to the blog, for updates.
